We would like to introduce a case study of operational improvements conducted at Company B, a building materials manufacturing company. The company consulted us to examine the surplus and shortage of storage space for various types of road construction materials, as they planned to expand their manufacturing line, and to provide specific improvement measures once the shortage areas were identified. As a result of the simulation, it was found that the initial plan indicated a shortage of approximately 500m2 of storage space, but it is now expected that a surplus of up to approximately 250m2 can be secured.
